The Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Ministry, Nicholas Duncan-Williams is convinced the former Chief Executive Officer of Bui Power Authority, Fred Oware was set up to fail.

According to him, Mr. Oware’s success was a threat to some people in the power production industry hence the deliberate move to set him up for failure.

“I believe Fred Oware was framed, he was very successful, he was aggressive at the market place ..he was doing so well and some people were threatened and felt like if we don’t stop this guy, he will take over the market and so there were meetings held to discuss him before the whole thing happened”.

“The holy spirit had revealed all that to us through prayers, we were praying and we saw that there was someone standing by his seat asking him to leave the chair, the person forcefully pushed him off the seat and when Fred left the company, it was that same person who took over from him” he noted.

Archbishop Duncan-Williams said he could not just sit and pray while his church member was being ‘manhandled’ and his business destroyed when he had the access and influence to intervene.

“I am not saying when people do wrong, they shouldn’t be punished, deal with the individual but do not destroy their business because a lot of people are employed and families depend on them…. So, I do not get it when I intervene in the lives of my church members and their business and people say I am dabbling in politics, what is politics? ….it is about governance” he stressed.

The spiritual leader stressed the need to intercede and intervene on behalf of the innocent and people who are opposed and mishandled.

“Fred Oware was in court for 7 years, on the 7th year, the prosecutor came out to say he was given instructions to implicate the man, after 7 years when he had lost everything and these are the kinds of situations we face, there should be a deliberate effort by the government to empower 10, 20 Ghanaians, a deliberate efforts to raise billionaires” he said in an interview on Good Evening Ghana.
