Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy died on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at age 65.
He began his full-time ministry with The Church of Pentecost at age 26. He was called to the office of an Apostle at age 33, and six years later, he was elected the fourth chairman of The Church of Pentecost and served from 1998 to 2008.
After serving for two terms (10 years), he was handed over to Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah due to his ill health.
He is known to have survived many challenges which include being held hostage in rebel territory (Liberian Civil War-1990’s), attacks on his life ranging from physical assaults to poisoning and paralysis leading to his confinement to a wheelchair until his demise.
Apostle Ntumy was a great writer who authored several books and played a pivotal role in writing the church’s annual devotional and other spiritual books as he served as the Director of Literary Works of The Church of Pentecost.
Apostle Ntumy retired from active service as an Apostle of the church late this year.
An official retirement service was held for him and his family on September 24 2023, in Hamburg, Germany, after 39 years in the ministry.
He left behind his wife, Martha Ntumy, and six children.
