Dr & Mrs Bawumia Canvasses For Delegates Vote in Upper East
Tipped to win his party’s primary on November 4 to become its 2024 flagbearer, Vice-President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia doesn’t look complacent but is campaigning hard for that crucial ticket that puts the winner to the homestretch towards becoming the next president of Ghana. His strong campaign in the Upper East region clearly shows that he is not resting on the oars of opinion polls, but turning every available stone to that objective.
Addressing NPP delegates in Bolgatanta, the Vice President said, he played a great part in the defeat of former President John Mahama in 2016, thus given the chance to be spearhead of the party in 2024, he could repeat the dose against the same contender.
He said the headstart to the digitalization process in the country was inspired by him, resulting in the issuance of the Ghana card, the digital address system, and the interoperability of mobile telephony networks among others. He said when given the chance to lead the country, he would be well-placed to innovate the system and get Ghana going in the modern world.
Bawumia said job creation is also his goal to ensure that the knowledge base of the country is fully tapped for the qualitative progress of individuals and national development.
Adding her voice, the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia said, her husband is a trustworthy person needed to steer the affairs of Ghana at this critical juncture.
