Don’t succumb to pressure in GH¢2.5m disbursement – Menzgold customers to Attorney General

The Coalition of Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold, Ghana, has urged the Attorney General to exercise restraint in disbursement of some GH¢2.5 million made available by Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM1) to clients.

In a petition to the Attorney General, the group expressed concerns about the credibility of the list provided by NAM1 and potential discrimination in fund distribution.

Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame had earlier disclosed that NAM1 provided GH¢2.5 million, deposited in a Bank of Ghana exhibit account.

The coalition cautioned against succumbing to pressure and emphasized their support for retaining the funds in the exhibit account.

“Nana Appiah Mensah should never be allowed to determine who should be paid first or last. All customers are entitled to their money at the same time, and as a coalition, we will resist any attempt by NAM1 and his Menzgold to discriminate against customers in the matter of payment,” the petition stated.

Below is the statement to that effect.
