‘Don’t go after people; focus on paying locked-up investments’ – NAM 1 told
Amanda Clinton, Lawyer for aggrieved customers of Menzgold has asked Nana Appiah Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold to focus on paying back locked-up investments and not go after people he thinks campaigned against him.
According to her, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1 is using his marketing prowess to divert people’s attention from him by dragging other people into the matter and denting their reputation.
There has been a video circulating on social media that suggests that Lawyer Ace Ankomah and Dr. KK Amoah were involved in a deal between Dubai based company, Horizon Royal Diamonds and NAM1 as lawyers of Horizon.
The video according to Lawyer Amanda Clinton is an attempt by NAM1 and his team to gather public hate for Lawyer Ankomah and Dr. Amoah thereby taking people’s minds off the main issue of payment of locked up ‘investments’.
“Yesterday, his people managed to playback things about Ace Ankomah and they mixed truth with fabrication because he wasn’t Horizon’s lawyer during the NAM1’s thing, so we just hope he doesn’t take his freedom to do campaigns against everybody he thinks was against him, he should just focus all his energy and time on raising money for the customers” she said.
Speaking exclusively to The Ghana Report on NAM1’s bail, Lawyer Clinton asked NAM1 to desist from denting other people’s reputation by associating them with this scandal.
“I just pray with his freedom he doesn’t spend the whole time thinking of all the people he thinks spoke bad about him because at the end of the day its is about the money” she noted.
The Menzgold team, according to her, insisted on having NAM1 around before any negotiations or discussions on how customers will get their locked-up investments.
“If they were saying it takes one whole CEO to be there in order for this money to be found, they’ve got what they wanted, so let them use every second of the day to bring it to the people” she said.
