‘Don’t dare touch Shatana’,Terry Bonchaka’s mum leaps to the defense of her daughter
Mother of the late Terry Adjetey Bonchaka and Shatana, Madam Charlotte Adjetey has warned some Ghanaian bloggers and other persons in the showbiz industry to desist from fabricating false stories about her daughter [Shatana].
Reacting to a statement made by a blogger identified as Ragnar on Hitz FM that Shatana is not related to the late Terry Bonchaka but just affiliating herself to the Bonchaka family in order to ride on Terry’s coattails. Mrs. Adjetey retorted telling Prince Tsegah, host of Hitz Fm’s “You Say Weytin” show to disregard such lies.
“Shatana and Terry are my children, I just understand why some Ghanaians have started orchestrating numerous lies about my daughter simply because she speaks the truth whenever she is talking on radio or TV, I really wish Terry was around to protect and support her sister as she has taken up mantle of producing some good music and empowering the young women as well”.
“They both loved music right from their childhood and I never doubted their talent and that is why am throwing my weight behind my daughter because she has introduced something new into the Ghanaian music industry and also protecting the legacy set down by her late brother at the same time”.
Meanwhile, Shatana courageously indicated that “ I started receiving several backlash from unknown persons ever since I started revealing the true circumstances surrounding my brother’s death, people want me to keep mute whereas the truth is so glaring, am unfazed at all therefore they should expect more from me”.
” I keep saying as a musician you need to go beyond just entertaining people with your music but rather have a positive impact on your audience with your message, resources and other innovative ways of turning their life around and that is what am seeking to achieve in my music career therefore haters can come in it with some funny statement but I have God, my family and my fans behind me so am ready for such persons”.
