Don’t be worried about any new movement, focus on your objectives – Otchere-Darko to gov’t
Private legal practitioner and a leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has welcomed the idea of individuals wanting to form a new movement to challenge the status quo.
According to him, such acts need to be welcomed and not chastised.
Mr Otchere-Darko’s comment comes on the back of critics suggesting that a new movement or party should be formed to wipe out the two major political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a social media post Monday morning, Mr. Otchere-Darko said, “No need throwing challenging any person(s) wanting to form a movement. All movements are welcome. Focus!”
According to him, the focus of the governing party should be on the delivery of its promises to the people and not the formation of ‘movements’.
“Let the delivery of your mandate move the people. The movement that counts impacts on lives,” he wrote.
