A massive fire outbreak on Monday evening at Ghana Flag Junction in Kasoa has razed several shops and businesses along the Kasoa-Obom road.
The inferno, which started around 5:30 p.m., has destroyed multiple structures, including carpentry shops and drinking spots, causing significant property damage estimated in the tens of thousands of cedis.
Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, thanks to the prompt response of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze despite the challenging location, surrounded by power lines and two filling stations.
Residents are concerned about the potential risks, but GNFS officials have managed to completely extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation is underway.
The fire has left many shop owners and residents in distress, with some losing their livelihoods.
