Decomposed body of man found in his room at Mankessim
A 55-year-old man identified as Kwame Entie has been found dead in his room at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.
The decomposed body was found after a pungent smell wafted the area from the direction of his room.
It is reported that the deceased had been sick for quite some time and visited the hospital and was gradually recovering until his demise.
Residents said he’d not been seen in the past few days but their curiosity was aroused after they began to smell the bad odour emanating from his room and alerted the Police.
Following the report, the police embarked on a search on Sunday, February 19, 2023, and found his lifeless body in his room
The body has been deposited at the Saltpond Government Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation while police have commenced investigations.
The central region has recently been recording mysterious deaths. In October last year, a similar case was recorded where the decomposed body of a 40-year-old man, Kwesi Alhaji, was found at Kasoa Opeikuma high-tension in the Awutu Senya East Municipality. In that instance, a resident, Okyere Boateng, told the media that they found the body in a bush in front of an uncompleted building.
