Dada Hafco, Okyeame Kwame, others win big at Highlife Music Awards
Highlife artiste Quarme Zaggy was adjudged Highlife Artiste of the Year at
The maiden edition of Highlife Music Awards has acknowledged the hard work of some musicians playing the music trade in the highlife genre.
The award ceremony which was held at the National Theatre on Friday, September 6, 2019, had musicians like Dada Hafco, Kumi Guitar, Okyeame Kwame and Akwaboah picking awards.
Others were Quarme Zaggy, Ebo Taylor and Kwan Pa.
There were great performances from Rex Omar, Akwaboah and Bless of Chochomucho fame.
The programme which was hosted by Abeiku Santana of Okay FM is aimed at projecting and preserving the highlife genre and motivating highlife musicians to keep charting the nearly-forgotten path.
