‘Culture’ recorded anti-gay song that will never be released – Kenyatta Hill
Son of Jamaican legendary reggae star, Joseph Hill of Culture fame has revealed that his father recorded an anti-gay song which has not been released.
Speaking with Blakk Rasta on the 3FM Urban Blend show from his base in Maryland, Kenyatta Hill said his father lived by the Bible as a rasta man and detested anything that goes contrary to the holy book.
“The reason was that my father is a rasta man, he lives biblically, he lives by the Bible and if mankind or earthly beings are not living according to the Bible, my father would speak out about it, so he did that in a song” Kenyatta explained.
He disclosed further that he was the sound engineer who produced the record for his father but thought the song shouldn’t be released.
“I was the producer of the album. That song was supposed to be on the ‘World Peace’ album and I told him no. If I am the engineer and a part of the production, then no we were not gonna put this one out because at that time they were fighting against Buju Banton for Boom Bye Bye, TOK, Capleton and everybody who sang against that kind of lifestyle” Kenyatta Hill disclosed.

When asked whether there is a possibility of releasing the song at a point in time, Mr. Hill said that his father’s music career was way bigger and didn’t have to highlight gays.
“I told my dad your career spans more than this. It’s way bigger than this. We are not gonna highlight these people, we aren’t gonna give them any love, we are not gonna give them any thought, any speech or anything. This song will never get out. Until today I have that record. It’s never gonna be released” he emphasized.
Kenyatta Hill, a professional sound engineer for Culture picked up the microphone to start his singing career the day his father’s musical journey ended.
