CSRS releases guidelines for the 2025/2026 service recruitment aptitude test

The Centralised Services Recruitment Secretariat (CSRS) has published detailed guidelines for the 2025/2026 Service Recruitment Aptitude Test, which outline timelines, applicant categories, test requirements, and assessment procedures.

As stated in the notice, the online aptitude test will take place over a span of 13 days, from Tuesday, February 10, to Sunday, February 22, 2026, and will be organised in phases according to the educational and professional qualifications of the applicants.

Applicants in Category A, which includes individuals with NVTI, JHS, sports, and other certificate qualifications, will be scheduled to take their test from Tuesday, February 10 to Friday, February 13, 2026.

They will be required to answer 30 questions and will also participate in a trade test relevant to their chosen vacancies.

Category B applicants, who are HND, degree, and master’s degree holders, are set to take the test between Saturday, February 14, and Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and will need to answer 60 questions.

Category C applicants, consisting of WASSCE holders, will have their test from Wednesday, February 18, to Sunday, February 22, 2026, and will also be required to answer 60 questions.

Applicants who have submitted applications for multiple services must take the aptitude test only once, unless their applications cover different categories or agencies, which may necessitate additional testing.

To facilitate a seamless examination process, candidates are strongly advised to utilise a desktop or laptop computer equipped with a webcam and microphone, as the test will be conducted under strict online supervision.

Upon clicking the Start Test button, applicants will go through an enrollment process that includes system checks such as internet strength, background noise levels, webcam calibration, liveness detection, and identity verification. Candidates are expected to maintain proper face alignment throughout the examination.

The test is fully proctored using advanced artificial intelligence, with session recordings and random snapshots implemented to identify any instances of malpractice.

All candidates are encouraged to access their recruitment portals on the designated dates to retrieve the test link. SMS notifications will additionally be dispatched to remind eligible candidates of their test availability.

The minimum passing score for the aptitude test is established at 65 per cent. Candidates are advised to prepare diligently and confirm that all technical prerequisites are fulfilled before their assigned test dates.
