Communications Director of the Ministry of Education, Ekow Vincent Assafuah, says the materials going round on social media which suggests  that the government is planning to introduce Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) in our schools, is totally false.

According to him, both the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service have no intention of introducing a policy that is at variance with the laws of Ghana.

His comments follow a big debate on social media, which suggests that the implementation of the CSE is a deliberate attempt by government to introduce explicit sexual information to children as young as age four, under the guise of Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE).

In a facebook post, Ekow Vincent stated that the assumption was totally false and urged the public to disregard such wild speculation as Ghana’s constitution frowns on such acts.

“Section 104 of the Criminal Offences Act-1060 (Act 29) frowns on unnatural Carnal knowledge, ” the post sighted by TheGhanaReport said.
