Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Manchester United in emotional shocker
Only 24 hours before 4 pm UK time on Friday, the world of football and business was coming to terms with the idea that Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was moving to Manchester City but things changed dramatically.
The Ghana Report can now report that the 36-year-old record goalscorer for Portugal and Real Madrid will be returning to Manchester United after packing his bags and flying out of Turin, Italy.
The impressively accurate Italian football reporter, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted on Friday afternoon the famous “Here We Go” words, announcing Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford after 12 years away.
Romano tweeted: “Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United: HERE WE GO! Done deal between Juventus and Man United on permanent move. Cristiano has accepted the contract proposal from Manchester United and he’s coming back. MUFC #Ronaldo Medical to be scheduled soon. CR7 IS BACK. Here we go.”

The details involved in Manchester United’s new signing is however yet to be made public although there are many suggestions that Ronnie, as he was called back in the day at Old Trafford, will be making about £ 12 million annually.
The former European and English champions are also said to have submitted a bid of a little over £20 million to Juventus for a player who scored 88 goals in nearly 100 games for the Old Ladies.
Ronaldo is expected to pen a two-year contract on his return to English football.
It has been rumoured that the deal to take Ronaldo to the Etihad Stadium was scuppered on the morning of Friday, August 27, by a call from legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to Ronaldo.
The pair have had one of the most notable father-son relationships in world football over the last 20 years.
Manchester United signed Ronaldo as a teenager from Sporting CP in 2003 after he impressed in a friendly game against the Red Devils.
The precocious winger would later grow into one of the best footballers of all time, scoring over 780 career goals in more than 1,100 games.
