Creating TGMA ‘Female Artiste of the Year’ category will give us a boost – Eno Barony

Renowned Ghanaian rapper, Eno Barony, is calling for the institution of a ‘Female Artiste of the Year’ category at the Ghana Music Awards.

During an interview on Property FM, she expressed her conviction that this category would be a game-changer for women in the music industry.

Eno Barony believes that recognising female talent in a dedicated category would not only provide a much-needed boost but also create a more inclusive and equitable environment. She urged awards organisers to consider this proposal, stressing its potential to elevate the status of female artistes and enrich the Ghanaian music landscape.

She said: “Because that will augment our work and the craft of the females will feel appreciated and I know it’ll come. A lot of females keep coming into the music scene and that category will surely come just that we need the push from the media. There should be support for the females especially those in the rap game because the louder they become the more the category will be created for them”.
