CPP to hold presidential primary on August 24

The Conventions People’s Party (CPP) has announced that it will hold its presidential elections on August 24, 2024.

In preparation for this, the party has opened nominations, allowing aspirants to pick up nomination forms from the party secretariat between Wednesday, July 24 and Friday, August 2, 2024.

The nomination forms are available at a cost of GH¢20,000.

The party has clarified that members who paid during the 2023 nomination period do not need to pay again, though they must still pick up their forms.

The nomination fee is set at GH¢300,000.

The vetting process for Flagbearer aspirants is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6 and Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Following this, the campaign period will run from Friday, August 9 to Friday, August 23, 2024, culminating in the election on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
