The 10 suspects arrested for their involvement in a chieftaincy dispute at Wenchike in the Chereponi district in the North East Region have been remanded.
The suspects were hauled before the Yendi Circuit Court on Friday, February 24.
They were charged with conspiracy to cause harm and to disturb public peace.
The prosecution pleaded with the court to remand the accused persons to enable the team conclude its investigations.
After listening to their plea, the presiding judge, Anthony Aduku-Aidoo, granted their request and remanded the accused persons in police custody.
The accused persons are Iddrisu Naa-Yawka Abochie, Naa Yawka Issahaku, Kadri Nasoma Latif, Kasim Kwabena and Mamudu Awuffor.
The rest are Akor Baba, Kadri Nasoma Hadi, Abubakari Seidu, Fuseini Salifu and Bawa Sumani.
They are to reappear before the court on March 9, 2023.
Their pleas will be taken on the next adjourned date.
It will be recalled that two persons were killed and five others injured following communal violence at Wenchike on February 23.
The violence, which started Thursday morning, is said to have spread to six other regional districts.
