Coronavirus: Stop sending away contact tracers – Bukom, Jamestown residents told
The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, has asked residents of Bukom and Jamestown in Accra to stop sacking contact tracers who visit individuals in the two communities to take their vitals for coronavirus test.
Addressing the press on Tuesday, Mr Agyemang Manu pleaded with the residents to support the efforts of the government in fighting the novel deadly pandemic by aiding the contact tracers.
“People are preventing contact tracers from entering their homes to do their work. We hear residents in Jamestown and Bukom are sacking them, please allow the contact tracers to do their work,” he said.

The Health Minister also argued the general public to pay heed to the preventive measures by wearing the nose masks and adhering to all other protocols.
Ghana on Monday recorded its biggest jump in COVID-19 cases from 2,169 to 2,719 within two days.
This means 550 more cases were recorded since Saturday when the last update was made.
According to the Ghana Health Service, the Greater Accra region still leads with over 2000 cases.
