Coronavirus: Police officer tests positive after arresting suspect
A police officer with the Adenta area command in Accra has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus after arresting and detaining a suspect who defied the lockdown directive.

The suspect was detained in police cells after a court hearing because the prison service was not accepting new inmates due to the global pandemic.
The officer has since been asked to self-quarantine.
Earlier this month, two health professionals at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital tested positive for the virus.
Meanwhile, the Upper East Region has recorded 10 more cases of COVID-19 bringing the regional total of cases to 18.

Similarly, cases in the Western Region have shot up to nine.
