Coronavirus: Ghana’s case now 195
Ghana has recorded an additional 34 cases of coronavirus in less than 24-hours after it confirmed nine cases.
The additional recorded cases put Ghana’s total case at 195.
Ministers lined up for coronavirus testing as Akufo-Addo sets tone
Addressing the press on Wednesday, the Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, gave the breakdowns of cases in the various regions.
Greater Accra is topping the number of infections with 174; Northern Region – 10; Ashanti Region – 9; Upper West Region -1; and the Eastern Region – 1.
The Ghana Health Service has announced plans of starting community testing in the Ashanti Region and the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly (AWMA).
Health authorities say the move has become necessary as these areas have been identified as one of the epic centers of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana.
