The NDC United Arab Emirates (UAE) Chapter extends our heartfelt congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama on his recent electoral victory as the next President of Ghana.
We also commend his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, and the dedicated rank and file of our party for their unwavering commitment and hard work throughout this electioneering process that has brought us to this moment of triumph.
As we celebrate this milestone, we recognise the challenges that lie ahead. Our nation has endured 8 years of mismanagement under the NPP administration led by Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia, one marked by incompetence and exacerbated hardships for our fellow citizens.
We have witnessed the struggles of everyday Ghanaians—struggles that cannot be ignored. But today, we send a strong message: change is here and has come to stay!
The people of Ghana have placed their trust in President Mahama and his team, and we are confident that they will cultivate a conducive environment for job creation for our youth and work diligently towards stabilising our economy.
This victory represents a significant opportunity for all Ghanaians to thrive under effective leadership that prioritises the needs of its citizens.
We express our deepest appreciation to our polling agents stationed at various polling stations, coalition centres, and within the EC strong room. Your tireless efforts and dedication have played an instrumental role in this success.
Importantly, we emphasise that this victory is not solely for the NDC but for all Ghanaians.
We believe that the considerable mandate given to President Mahama will not be taken for granted; rather, it will inspire a renewed commitment to serving the interests of the entire nation.
