Christmas hit songs are no more since I last released a song – Captain Planet
Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Captain Planet, formerly of the defunct group 4×4, has teased his fans about a potential Christmas hit song.
In a post on X, December 4, 2025, Captain Planet criticised the current music scene’s lack of festive hits since his last releases around 2021-2022.
He said the current songs being released are not compelling enough to be hit songs, unlike the previous days.
“Ghana music these days no dey sweet me koraa. Those days every Christmas you go hear some big bange,r but since i stop dey drop songs u guys u no dey get Christmas banger,” he wrote on X.
“MAKE I DROP ONE NKWASIA NDWOM FOR YOU GUYS THIS CHRISTMAS?” Captain Planet added soliciting opinions from his fans if he should release a Christmas hit song this year.
His post has garnered comments from his fans asking him to release a song just for this festive season, recalling some old hit songs of the artiste.
