Chelsea winger Pedro Neto has apologised for pushing a ballboy during the latter stages of his side’s 5-2 defeat to PSG.

Neto was seen shoving the ballboy in an attempt to get play restarted quickly, moments before the European champions added their fifth goal.

Neto escaped punishment, but did reveal that he had apologised to the ballboy after the game.

“I want to say the situation that happened on the pitch with the ballboy, I want to apologise,” he told TNT Sport.

“I already spoke with him. It was the heat of the moment. We were losing and I wanted to pick up the ball. I gave him a little push and that cannot happen.

“I gave him my shirt and I am really really sorry for that. In the heat of the moment, I wanted to get the ball fast.
