Central region gets female police commander
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh, has made some changes in the Police Management Board and has re-assigned some regional commanders.
In all, nine senior officers have been re-assigned.
DCOP Mrs. Habiba Akyere Twumasi-Sarpong is now Central Regional police commander.
She takes over from COP Mr. Paul Manly Awini who is now the Director-General for Research, Planning and Transformation.
COP Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye has been moved from the Research and Planning department he’s now Director-General for Legal and Prosecution.
Tema Regional Commander, DCOP Mr Johnson Oyirifi-Akrofi is now heading to the Eastern Region as its Regional Commander.
Eastern Regional Police Commander, DCOP, Afful Boakye Yiadom is now the Accra Regional Police Commander.
Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Frederick Adu-Anim is now the Director-General for Information, Communication Technology (ICT).
