Cardi B deletes Twitter account after receiving backlash for reconciling with ex-husband
American rapper, Cardi B, has deleted her Twitter account after receiving backlash for reconciling with her ex-husband, Offset.
The rapper had filed for a divorce.
Addressing her fans in an Instagram live on Saturday, Cardi B said she deleted her account because of the criticisms.
“A whole bunch of 15-year-olds telling me how to live my life…. like I came from Disney or something.”
“I’m so tired that because of you all, I have to continuously explain myself,” she fumed.
Explaining how her divorce case got public, the rapper said a court clerk released it to the media.
“I didn’t put my divorce out there, a court clerk put it out there. And because people are making rumors up, ‘Oh, this guy has a girl pregnant,’ this and that, I had to address it.”
In September, Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in Fulton County, Ga, describing her marriage as “irretrievably broken” and that “there are no prospects for reconciliation.”
The two have a child together.
