Camidoh Grabs nominations for “Breakout Artiste Of The Year” At AFRIMA 2022
The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) ceremony for 2022 has been announced and prior to the event, scheduled for 8th to 11th December 2022, Ghanaian musician Camidoh has been nominated for the “Break Out Artiste ” of the Year” category.
The ‘Sugarcane’ hit maker, Camidoh, has gained a large audience for his break-out single ‘Sugarcane’, which later was remixed with both local and international artistes King Promise, Mayorkun, and Darkoo.
Camidoh is set to compete in this category with highly lauded new music sensations from across the African music market.
They include Asake from Nigeria, Costa Titch from South Africa, Daliwonga also from South Africa, again from south Africa Nomfundo Moh, Morocco’s El Grande Toto , Fior 2 Bior from Ivory Coast, Hewan Gebrewold from Ethiopia, Marwan Moussa from Egypt, and Phee also from Nigeria.
Camidoh’s ‘Sugarcane Remix’ has continued to gain popularity since its release earlier this year.
Whilst the song was making waves across the globe, the singer surprised his fans with a remixed version ‘Sugarcane Remix EP’, which featured King Promise, Mayorkun, and Darkoo.
Both the original ‘Sugarcane’ song and the remixed version birthed the #SugarCaneChallenge on various social media platforms.
Camidoh just released his first solo single of the year, ‘Kaba’, this summer.
The new single finds the artiste delving into modern romantic relationships and exploring love and its complexities.
