CAFCL: A win tomorrow will prove why Medeama is representing Ghana – Evans Adotey
Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Augustine Evans Adotey, acknowledges the responsibility he has to ensure Medeama qualifies to the next stage of the CAF Champions League.
The Tarkwa-based side is in Guinea to compete in the second leg of a second round Champions League tie against Horoya AC on Saturday, September 30 in Guinea. Medeama scored a 3-1 win over Horoya in the first leg.
Progression from this stage means an entry into the group stage of Africa’s flagship club competition which would be a first for Medeama and the challenge isn’t lost on coach Adotey.
“Preparation is almost set. As a coach of Medeama Sporting Club, I have responsibility to bear i.e. ensuring that Medeama sails through to the next round I mean the group stages.
A win tomorrow will prove why Medeama is representing Ghana and a draw will automatically qualify my team to the next stage. Come tomorrow I want to make sure I keep a clean sheet just to make the game a mere formality.”
Medeama is the reigning BetPawa Ghana Premier League champion.
