Nsoatreman FC, Ghana’s representative in the 2024-2025 CAF Confederation Cup, has advanced to the tournament’s second round after defeating Elect Sport of Chad 5-0 on aggregate.
Nsoatreman won the first leg 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium, scoring all three goals in six minutes during the first half.
In the return leg in Cameroon, Nsoatreman secured a 2-0 victory, with Walid Fuseini opening the scoring in the 34th minute and Stephan Diyou adding the second in the 86th minute.
Next, the Ghanaian side will face the winner of the tie between Constantine FC of Algeria and Rwanda’s Police FC, with the second leg scheduled for today, August 25 at 13:00 GMT in Rwanda, where Constantine currently holds a 2-0 aggregate lead.
This marks Nsoatreman’s inaugural appearance in the competition, following their promotion to the Ghana Premier League last season.
In its debut campaign in the top flight, Nsoatreman finished fourth and won the MTN FA Cup to qualify to represent Ghana in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
