Buipe firefighters rescue 10 after head-on collision at Yapei
Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service in Buipe rescued ten people trapped in a head-on collision between a tractor and a minibus at Yapei in the Savannah Region.
The rescue team arrived to find a tractor with registration number NR-1837-A and a Toyota Hiace minibus, AS-7243-23, locked in a head-on collision in the middle of the road.
With swift action, the firefighters managed to extricate ten victims who had been trapped in the mangled vehicles.
The rescued persons were immediately handed over to the National Ambulance Service, who conveyed them to the Yapei Polyclinic for emergency treatment.

According to the Fire Service, the collision had a severe impact, leaving both vehicles damaged.
Authorities have since commenced investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
