Dr. Dickson Adomako Kissi, a member of Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s campaign team and former MP for Anyaa Sowutuom, has reassured the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that Acheampong remains dedicated to the party despite his defeat in the presidential primaries.
“Based on his manifesto, I know that he will push us as a party to return to the true culture of patriotism, selflessness, and the things that made NPP NPP”.
He added, “He wanted the party to go back to basics and return to the strategies that made our party win and made it likeable to all of Ghana. He cannot depart from that”.
Kissi highlighted that Acheampong’s emphasis has consistently been on unity and growth. “His focus has always been about strengthening the NPP and making it attractive to Ghanaians again,” he stated.
These remarks follow Dr. Bawumia’s successful acquisition of the NPP flagbearer position with a significant victory, overcoming strong competition from Dr. Acheampong and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
