The campaign team for flagbearer hopeful, Dr Bryan Acheampong, has denied circulating messages to New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates promising money or gifts ahead of the party’s flagbearer election.
In a statement issued in Accra on Friday, January 30, 2026, the campaign urged delegates to ignore the messages, saying “Dr. Bryan Acheampong has not issued any SMS about money or Christmas gifts,” and described the claims as false.
The campaign team warned that the messages are intended to mislead and distract delegates during what it described as a crucial period for the party.
Reaffirming its values, the statement said the campaign remains committed to “discipline, transparency, and integrity,” and called on delegates to stay focused as they prepare to vote.
It further advised party members to trust only official communications issued through Dr Acheampong’s verified platforms or authorised campaign channels.
