The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppong-Boanuh has confirmed the death of three Takoradi girls who went missing in Takoradi more than a year ago.

Mr. Oppong-Boanuh at a press conference Monday evening announced that the results of a DNA test conducted on remains found at the premises of one of the suspected kidnappers of the three girls had been confirmed to be those of the missing girls.

Earlier reports showed a special police operation led to the discovery and exhumation of the bodies of the three missing Takoradi girls at Kasawrodo in the Western region, The Ghana Report confirmed in August this year.

The bodies were retrieved from a manhole in the house of one of the suspects, Samuel Willis.
