Brandon Thomas-Asante replaces Inaki Williams for Black Stars World Cup Qualifiers

Coventry City forward Brandon Solomon Thomas-Asante has officially replaced Inaki Williams in the Black Stars roster for a pair of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this month.

Thomas-Asante was drafted in as a late replacement for Williams who picked up a leg injury while playing for Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday, October 4.

The Bilbao captain scored in his team’s 2-1 win over RCD Mallorca but was forced off in the 53rd minute due to the injury that was later reported as a muscle-injury overload in the tensor of the fascia lata of his left leg. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
