Bob Marley inspires my songs – Diana Asamoah

Gospel musician and evangelist, Diana Asamoah, says she gets a lot of inspirations from Bob Marley, a late reggae artiste.

According to her, the love for meaningful lyrics and timeless songs drew her attention to the Jamaican reggae icon, an act she has followed religiously over the years

“I listen to reggae music and especially Bob Marley to pick lyrics that shape the gospel songs I write. Gospel music has to do with speaking about God and I believe most reggae songs speak about God and talk about good things,”

The ‘Onyame ba’ singer said her acquired knowledge in showbusiness has taught her not to go beyond her field in her quest to trend, even though she gets feature requests.

“I do lifetime songs like Bob Marley [does]; that is why most of my music is Pentecostal hymns because they will not wither in changing seasons,” she said.

She explained that such an action will sway her from the purpose of the Ministry.

The last time she was in the news was when her name was featured on Hip-Pop artists, Mr. Drew’s ‘Dw3’.
