Head coach of the Ghana national team, Chris Hughton says his team will not underrate Madagascar in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualification match.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday, June 13, coach Hughton noted that the Black Stars are preparing just like the team would prepare for any other opponent.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion manager indicated that he is expecting a tough match from Madagascar and will drill his team to be ready for the challenge to ensure victory at the end of the 90 minutes.
“When we do our homework, when we watch the opposition, there isn’t one opposition that we see that we think this is going to be easy. There isn’t one. Every international team is fighting to do well. The Madagascar team will be no different,” Coach Chris Hughton said.
The team had training sessions on Monday and Tuesday as part of the preparations for the game against Madagascar on Sunday, June 18.
They are expected to hold training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday before travelling to Antananarivo for the crucial AFCON qualifier.
