A frightening accident occurred on the Tarkwa-Takoradi highway involving the technical team of Ghana’s Black Stars.
Fortunately, the team members escaped unharmed but were taken to the hospital for precautionary checks.
The cause of the accident is currently unknown, but videos from the scene show a disturbing image.
In one of the videos, John Paintsil, second assistant coach, can be heard saying, “This is not going to happen to us, never. We are hurt; it’s later we will know that we are hurt. I feel some pain.”
The team was in Tarkwa for the Champions of Champions match between Samatex and Nsoatreman FC at the TnA park.
Those involved in the accident include: the head Coach Otto Addo, second assistant coach John Paintsil and goalkeeper’s trainer Fatawu Dauda.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is likely to follow.
