Black Stars Management Committee Members are not being paid for now- Kofi Adams

Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has stated that members of the Black Stars Management Committee are not being paid in the interim.

He added that members of the committee will be rewarded for their efforts should Ghana qualify to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The next FIFA World Cup takes place in the USA, Canada and Mexico with 48 countries competing; Africa has nine automatic qualification spots and Ghana is in a prime position to qualify from Group I after picking up 15 points from six games.

However, members of the team’s management committee including Chairman, Dr. Randy Abbey and Vice Chairman, Stephen Appiah, are working without payment but are on the brink of getting rewarded.

“Black Stars management committee members are not being paid for now but if we qualify for the World Cup, then the government will decide what they must be given as a reward” he said to Asempa FM in an interview.
