Ghana’s senior national football team, the Black Stars, conducted a recovery training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, following their arrival in Kumasi in the early hours of the morning.
The team continued their preparations at the same venue today, ahead of Monday’s crucial match against the Central African Republic.
Ghana’s journey to the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico, has been a mixed bag so far.
In Group I of the qualifiers, the Black Stars have recorded one win and one loss in their first two matches, defeating Madagascar 1-0 in Kumasi before losing 1-0 to Comoros in Moroni.
However, they regained their winning form on Thursday, beating Mali 2-1 away from home, with Ernest Nuamah and Jordan Ayew scoring in the 58th and 90+4 minutes, respectively.
Currently, Ghana sits third in Group I and is seeking a victory against the Central African Republic to boost their chances of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup.
