Black Stars Camp was lovely- Nations FC’s Razak Simpson
Nations Football Club captain and defender Razak Simpson has called his last run with Ghana’s national men’s football team, the Black Stars, lovely.
He said this in a post-game interview after scoring with a brilliant strike to give Nations FC a 1-0 win over Accra Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League. Simpson won the Man of the Match Award.
Simpson was one of three Ghana Premier League players invited to the Black Stars squad that beat Chad 5-0 and Madagascar 3-0 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and Medeama SC defender Kamaradini Mamudu were the other home based players in the team.
Simpson replaced Gideon Mensah in the 80th minute in Ghana’s win over Madagascar and had positives to say about his time in the Black Stars camp.
“It-my time at the Black Stars camp- was lovely. The momentum, everything, it was lovely” he said before indicating that he wishes to play more for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team.
