Black Stars B coach Ibrahim Tanko picks starting lineup for Uzbekistan friendly
Black Stars B coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has named his starting lineup to face Uzbekistan in today’s international friendly.
The match which is scheduled to take place at the Central Stadium in Namangan, Uzbekistan will feature only local-based players of Ghana.
Coach Tanko settled on Aduana Stars’ Joseph Addo as his safest pair of hands in the goalposts.
Asante Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey will play at right-back with Samuel Abbey-Ashie Quaye of Great Olympics and CAF U-20 Championship winner at the left-back position.
Deputy captain of Hearts of Oak, Mohammed Alhassan is being paired with Konadu Yiadom of WAFA SC at centre-back.
The midfield will have Bechem United’s Moro Salifu, Michel Otou of Olympics and Medeama SC’s Rashid Nortey.
Coach Tanko will approach the game with a 4-3-3 formation which will see Ghana Premier League top scorer Diawisie Taylor, U20 African Championship best player Abdul Fatawu Issahaku of Ghana Division One League side Steadfast FC, and Kwame Peprah of Kumasi-based King Faisal leading the attack in this afternoon’s encounter.
The match kicks off at 13:00 GMT.
