Black Meteors suffer second defeat in friendly tie against Japan

The Black Meteors of Ghana has suffered another defeat to the Japanese U24 team in the second friendly match between the two sides.

The Meteors suffered a 4-0 thrashing by the Japanese on Tuesday, June 8 at the Best Denki Stadium in Fukuoka.

Forwards Hayashi Daichi and Tagawa Kyosuke scored two quick goals in the first half with Itakura Kou adding to the tally in the second half before Frimpong Amoabeng’s own goal.

The Asian side proved too strong for coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side after they suffered a 6-0 defeat in the first game played on Saturday.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin made some changes in his lineup ahead of the game, which saw Richmond Ayi, Frank Amoabeng, Joselpho Barnes and Frimpong Boateng coming for a revenge agenda that never happened.

Ghana lost the two scheduled friendly games on a 10-0 aggregate to the Blue Samurai of Japan.

The Japan’s U24 are preparing for the upcoming Olympics that will be hosted in Tokyo scheduled for July

The team will travel to South Korea to face the Korean U24 team in another two International friendlies on June 12 and June 15.
