Black Meteors Leave Ghana for Japan, Korea friendlies
Ghana’s national Under-23 side, the Black Meteors, left Accra on June 1 for Tokyo, Japan for upcoming international friendly games against their counterparts from Japan and South Korea.
The team under the management of coach Samuel Kwasi Fabin, has been training at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram for the past two weeks, ahead of the matches.
The Black Meteors will take on Japan on June 4 and 8 in Tokyo before travelling to South Korea to play the Koreans on June 12 and 15, 2021.
The Black Meteors who failed to qualify for the upcoming Olympic Games will use those matches to prepare for the next African Games scheduled to place in Accra in 2023.
However, Japan and South Korea will use the games to test their readiness for the Olympic Games football competition.
