‘Mansa’ hitmaker Bisa Kdei has combated rumours that he killed his mother in a money ritual scheme to acquire wealth.
Bisa Kdei’s hit song ‘Mansa’ was released on Wednesday, August 19, 2019, and that was the same day the mother, Madam Josephine Bruce, passed on at the Cocoa Clinic in North Kaneshie, Accra, due to an unknown ailment.
Later that same year, Bisa Kdei scored another great win with his ‘Brother Brother’ song.
According to Bisa Kdei, the success in the music industry after the mother’s death is making people attribute that to money rituals.
Bisa, in an interview, said he believes the mother’s passing away drew sympathy from the public, which resulted in the wide acceptance of the ‘Mansa’ song.
He added that the song opened doors for him beyond Ghana, taking him to many Francophone countries.
Reacting to the rumours of killing the mother for money rituals, the highlife musician said in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Accra FM:
“People say I killed my mother,” he sucked his teeth and noted: “It hurts but then again, I came to realise it’s simply human nature. There’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.”
“No matter what you do, they’ll talk about you. You just have to stay lowkey and do your thing,” he added.
