Bibiani Gold Stars didn’t come to play football; they were just wasting time – Hearts coach Slavko Matic

Hearts of Oak head coach, Slavko Matic expressed disappointment in the play of Bibiani Gold Stars after their match on Saturday.

The gaffer led the Phobians to a 2-1 comeback win against Gold Stars yesterday in a tough game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Hearts of Oak head coach Slavko Matic insisted that the opponent did not come to play football.

According to him, the match was not played for more than 40 minutes because Gold Stars wasted 50 minutes.

“You saw Bibiani from first minute they start to waste time. Anti-football, they started wasting our time. We didn’t play today 40 minutes total, anti-football. I think football win today and the character of my players,” coach Slavko Matic shared.

Thanks to goals from Isaac Mensah and Gladson Awako, Hearts of Oak managed to come from behind to secure their first win of the season.

Gold Stars took the lead through a goal from Prince Owusu Kwabena.
