Berekum Chelsea forwardcharges fans to pray ahead of Hearts of Oak game

Berekum Chelsea forward Steven Amankona has made a passionate appeal to the team’s fans, urging them to pray for the team ahead of their crucial matchday 14 clash against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

Amankona expressed optimism about his team’s chances of securing a favorable outcome against Hearts of Oak, stating that they are prepared to grind out a result.

“Just as we did against Nations FC, we’ll grind out a result against Hearts of Oak on Friday. It’s a 50-50 game, but we won’t return home with a defeat. I urge our fans to pray for the team,” Amankona stated.

The fixture, scheduled for Friday evening at the University of Ghana Stadium, pits the eighth-placed Bibires against the seventh-placed Phobians in a highly anticipated encounter. Amankona, a former Asante Kotoko forward, will play a key role for Berekum Chelsea as they aim to cause an upset in Accra.

Berekum Chelsea head into the match following a goalless draw against Aduana Stars in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak will be looking to recover from their narrow 1-0 defeat to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko last weekend.

Hearts of Oak will aim to capitalise on their home support, while Berekum Chelsea seeks to maintain their unbeaten streak and climb higher in the standings.
