‘Be Conscious Of The Economic Woes of Ghanaians’- NDC Council Of Elders To Party Executives
The Chairperson for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Council of Elders, Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu, has advised party executives occupying prominent positions like the party chairman and the General Secretary not to shift their attention from the woes of the economy as they are embarking on a series of campaigns.
In a press conference organised by the Council of Elders, the chairman stressed that it is good to embark on campaigns because it showcases the party’s image to the citizens, but the campaigners must always have the interest of the citizens in mind.
Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu urged the National Chairman and the General Secretary “to reflect soberly on the situation at hand and must be mindful of the overall interest and the toils of the rank and file of the NDC over the years to make the party strong, viable, and ready to assume the reins of government in 2024”.
The Council of Elders, in the release, also advised the party executives to adhere to the rules and regulations of the party’s constitution.
The party members are bound by a constitution that frowns on the use of indecent language, “media attacks, breach of confidentiality and misrepresentations of decisions taken in relation to past actions of leadership”.
