Bawumia now government’s bulwark against Mahama – Kwakye Ofosu
The NDC Parliamentary aspirant for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency, Felix Ofosu Kwakye has described the posture of the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in national discourse as problematic.
According to him, the office of the Vice President requires a bit more suavity and reflection but unfortunately Dr. Bawumia has reduced the office to launching attacks on the opposition.
“The office of the Vice President requires a bit more suavity and reflection, so that your carry yourself in a manner that is dignified but it appears that his role now has been limited to launching potshots at the former president” he said
Ofosu Kwakye argued that the manner in which previous Vice Presidents carried their office was more dignifying and distinguishing.
“We’ve seen how previous Vice Presidents carried the office. We’ve seen Mr. Arkaah, we’ve seen President Mahama himself, we’ve seen President Mills and recently Mr. Amissah Arthur all of them carried themselves in a manner that reflected the office but this one appears a little too interested in launching attacks, it is as if he’s become government’s bulwark against Mr. Mahama”
The former Deputy Communication Minister argues that, the Vice President with the current challenges facing the Ghanaian economy has been exposed as being flatfooted in the management of the economy.
“All the talks he engaged in opposition have proven completely shallow, he has been exposed as being flatfooted even in the management of the economy” he noted.
