Bawumia is the only candidate with realistic chance of winning 2024 elections – Mustapha Hamid
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr Mustapha Hamid, endorsed the candidature of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to become the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, the vice president is the only candidate in the race that can win the 2024 general elections for the governing party.
Dr Hamid said Bawumia has the qualities and attributes essential for a successful candidate, including experience, competence, and charisma.
“Bawumia is the only candidate who has a realistic chance of winning,” he said in an interview with Citi News monitored by theghanareport.com.
He, however, admitted that the 2024 election will be competitive, but he was optimistic that Dr. Bawumia will lead the NPP to victory.
“No election has been an easy run since 2000, and I doubt there ever will be,” Hamid said. “But Bawumia has the best chance of winning.”
Voting is currently underway in all 275 constituencies across the country to elect a presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Over 203,000 delegates, mainly executives of the NPP at the local and national levels, are participating in the poll to select a presidential candidate for the party.
