Ghana center Nathan Mensah has ended his run at this year’s NBA Summer League on a high note while aiding Charlotte Hornets record a 109-92 win over Minnesota Timberwolves.

The win was Hornets first in the preseason tournament mainly designed for first and second year players in the NBA. Charlotte ended the tournament with just a win in five games.

In an interview with the NBA prior to the Minnesota game, Mensah said, “It’s an opportunity that as a kid, I was hoping to get and play for an NBA organization. I’m blessed to get this opportunity through the Charlotte Hornets.

I was always a defensive guy and I’ve always relied on my defense to get me places… and I’d like to do the same here”.

After going undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft, Mensah will be hoping his performance in the Summer League in limited minutes, will get him into the main team for the 2022-2023 season.
