Augustine Okrah to Get $24,000 from Yanga

Veteran Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah is set to receive $24,000 in outstanding remuneration from Tanzanian football giants Young Africans SC (YANGA), following a FIFA ruling.

Okrah’s departure from YANGA led to a complaint filed with FIFA’s Tribunal, which ruled in his favor, deeming YANGA at fault.

Consequently, YANGA has been ordered to pay Okrah $24,000, plus a $3,000 fine to FIFA, and has received a warning from the world’s governing football body.

Okrah previously played for YANGA’s rival, Simba SC, before joining YANGA in January 2024.

However, his stint was short-lived, and he returned to the Ghana Premier League, registering with Bechem United in time for the 2024-2025 season.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player has already made two appearances in the Ghana Premier League, featuring in a goalless draw against Aduana Stars and a 2-0 loss to Accra Hearts of Oak.
